Special Events & Programs      

  • All Programs and Events listed below are free and included  with paid Otterville admission, unless otherwise noted.  
  • Spaces are limited for all programs, if your are interested in participating in any of the following programs please sign up as you are entering Otterville.  Sign ups are done on a first-come first-serve basis.
  • For questions or additional information please call (859)491-1441.
  • Programs for groups available, call for additional information and list of activities   
  • Any program involving outdoor activities are Weather Permitting, an art project will be substituted instead of the outdoor activities.
  • All programs and times are subject to change without prior notice
  • Programs start promptly at time indicated, late arrivals will not be accepted into programs

September

September 2nd - 5th

Mosaic Yarn Creations- In this program we will get to use our creative brains to make a design out of yarn.  We will begin with a colorful story and then each child will get to make their own mosaic design out of yarn and glue.  Times: 11:00a.m.; 1:30p.m. & 3:30p.m.

September 8th-12th

Child Safety Week- It's National Child Safety Week (September 7-13) and Otterville has a special safety program for kids!  We will listen to a story about a lost little critter and discuss safety issues with kids.  Then each child will get to make a first aid kit to take home a share with their family.  Times: 11:00a.m.; 1:30p.m. & 3:30p.m

September 15th-19th

Snakes- Do you like snakes?  We will learn all about them in this program, where they live, what they eat, and we may even get to see a live snake!  Each child will then get to make a snake craft to take home and display. Times: 11:00a.m.; 1:30p.m. & 3:30p.m

September 22nd - 26th

Zoo Fun- We will begin by reading the book There's a Strike at the Zoo followed by a lion craft that is sure to make everyone laugh!  Children will be making a lion craft using glue, scissors, and craft materials. Times: 11:00a.m.; 1:30p.m. & 3:30p.m

September 29th & 30th

What time is it?- Do you know how to tell time on a clock?  In this program we will be listening to a story about clocks, then we will make our own clock so we can practive telling time on a real clock.  Times: 11:00a.m.; 1:30p.m. & 3:30p.m

September 4th

  Bingo- It's an enjoyable game of matching fun for everyone!  Be the first to match the pictures on your game card with the pictures of the Bingo caller and win a prize!  Every child who participates will receive a prize. This program will last approximately 15 - 20 minutes and will be offered at 12:30p.m

September 10th

Last Ice Cream Social of the Year- Join us for an old fashioned ice cream social on Ottervilles' outdoor patio. Ice cream sundaes will be provided to all who attend.  Social will be held from 1:30p.m.-2:30p.m.

October

October 15th
